Coleção: Green Tara Thangka, Statue & Amulet

Green Tara is the Tara of activity. Her right leg is extended, ready to step down from her lotus seat, and her right hand is open in the gesture of granting while the left holds a blue utpala flower. Green is the colour of the wind element and of action that does not wait.

She protects from the eight great fears — water, thieves, lions, snakes, fire, elephants, imprisonment and spirits — and in practice she is called on for help with whatever is happening right now, which is why she is the most widely kept Tara image in Himalayan homes.

Formats in this collection: Hand-painted and printed thangka, statues in painted clay, copper and brass, tsa-tsa molds, and dzi beads, lockets and pendants.
