Locket Thangka Amulets

A gau is the portable shrine — a small metal box worn on the body, holding a painted image, a relic or a printed mantra. This collection is the wearable end of that tradition: hand-painted locket thangkas and gau boxes, 25-35 mm across, strung on cord.

Each locket is painted by hand in mineral pigment, so two Green Taras are never identical. Choose the deity you already have a practice connection with — Green Tara for activity, Mahakala for protection, Manjushri for study — or take a gau box if you want to place your own image inside.

For larger painted work, see the thangka collection.
