Amitayus Thangka & Statue — Long Life

Amitayus, the Buddha of Limitless Life, is the longevity aspect of Amitabha: same red body, but crowned, jewelled and holding a long-life vase filled with the nectar of immortality in his lap.

His practice is the standard one for extending life, for recovering from illness and for blessing a long-life vase; it is commonly done together with White Tara and Ushnishavijaya as the three long-life deities.
